Frequent questions about the Golden Service Online.

I created an issue and wanted to check to make sure it was submitted, but when I enter my issue number I don’t see my issue. Did it work?

Yes, it worked. Web submissions require time to process. Please allow at least 30 minutes before checking the status of an issue. This gives the computer time to update and provide access for you to check the status. When you create an issue, it sends an email to City employees. The City appreciates your patience during the first business day as we process your issue. Please do not create enter the same issue multiple times as this will only delay our ability to respond.

I created an issue and gave my email address. Will I receive a response from City staff via email?

Responses directly to your email address are not automatic. When you create a new issue, the system will provide an issue number. You may use this number to check the status of your issue using this online service or by calling the City. You may receive an email requesting more information or providing other information.

What happens if I can’t find my issue number? How can I check the status of my request?
If you misplace your issue number, you may call the City and talk with a customer service representative. To locate your issue without an issue number, we will need to know the name or location of the problem provided with the original issue.

What if I want to know if the city is currently working on a problem address in my neighborhood?
You can ask a City employee to look up an address to see if there are current issues open by address. They can also review past issues that have been resolved or closed by address.

I have photos of the problem. Can I send them along with the complaint?

If you have digital photos or other electronic documents you would like to submit as part of your issue you may do so by clicking on Supporting Files and browsing to your file location. This will attach your information to the email sent to City staff.

I have multiple photos or multiple attachments but the web page will only allow one attachment, how can I send all of them along with the complaint?

The City is unable to accept more than one attachment to an online issue. Please choose the photo or document that best represents your service request.

I live outside of the City limits. Can I still use the Golden Service Online system?

Residents of Bedford Township receive police services from the City and may enter non-emergency issues related to this service. Any Calhoun County resident who pays a City water bill may enter issues relating to water, sewer and garbage services. All other township, Calhoun County or City of Springfield issues should be directed to the appropriate unit of government for response.
